Pruning the customer

What's with Arborway Tree in Jamaica Plain? A couple of years ago I had them prune an ornamental tree in our front yard. They sent a kid over and instead of shaping it properly he gave it what amounted to a bowl haircut. Completely artless and I don't think very good for the tree. That was enough to put me off them for good but my wife called them the other day to get an estimate on cutting down a tree in our back yard, it's nearly dead, and they came back with a price three times as high as the estimate we got the day before. $1800.00 vs. $550.00 Wow!! Overpriced and lousy service, what a combination. Also, we didn't get the estimate in writing, they just call back. Super.
