Denmark's Home Medical Equipment Accreditation Survey

Try to order supplies from Denmarks Healthy Steps Sleep Right Program at their 1-866-843-1556 number and you get voice mail and voice mail only. Your call is very important to us but all of our operators are busy etc. etc. Eventually you get an option to leave a message and they will call back within 24 hours. Yeah right, not in my experience. They have never called back. I was able to get through once but I did that by pressing 0 and avoiding the message option. (J says she does it all the time with voice mail and it usually works.) Anyway, the operator/representative took my order and was very nice. She said I should get the supplies by the middle of the next week. Unfortunately, that was in the middle of December and I still haven't seen the supplies. I've tried to call but all I get is voice mail and no call back.

The point of this, other than complaining, is that Denmarks is up for accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of HealthCare Organizations. The JCAHO is conducting a survey Jan. 24 - Jan. 28. They're looking for public comments and if you have something to offer you can follow this link. Denmarks BTW is owned by Air Products Health Care. I've NEVER had a problem with this service. They've been great. I don't have to deal with an operator or anything. Leave my info, leave my order, and in 2 days my supplies are delivered. Couldn't be any easier or faster!!!

Thanks for your reply to a two year old post. Not to sound cynical but it reads like ad copy.
I finally gave up on those guys. They were completely useless. And, not dealing with an operator is not necessarily an advantage. I used to feel that if only I could talk to someone I could get the problem straightened out. That turned out to be a pipe dream. I left messages and they NEVER called back.

So, yes the post is old, but Denmarks is still terrible on Customer Service. I've been ordering supplies for 5 years and it never goes smooth. They used to send a postcard when supplies were due, now they call me thru an automated system relentlessly until I give in and order. Also the auto system lets you say you are having trouble with your supplies and someone will return your call. Never happened! And good heavens, if your order is not standard - you can't get to any live person. They are terrible! I only stick with them because I've got the supplies all worked out.

There are plenty of other suppliers who can handle these supplies for you, do a quick web search for the area you live in and you should be able to find someone who provides the service you deserve - good luck!

I'm no longer a Denmark's customer, (it's been almost two years), and they are nothing but an unpleasant memory. I get all my stuff through Sleep Health Centers now and while they're not perfect they are much better than Denmark's.

Many individuals are also allergic to the chemicals which are added to the latex, and these chemicals may be present on non latex items as well. This will typically be one of the problems with wearing non latex gloves too long that will not be evident at first.
